Small Animals
Mice, rats, ferrets, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus: these are the types of animals we mean when we refer to ‘small animals’ in the UK.
Any of these can make tremendous pets but while owning one (or more) of these animals is clearly different from caring for, say, a large breed of dog, small animal does not necessarily mean ‘small commitment’.
